Brain dumps can be painful
Sunday, December 25, 2011 at 10:28AM
Being in the writing mood this morning, and sober, at least for a couple of hours, I thought I might take the lead from my friend Rachel over at Totally Ovar it, and do a brain dump. I’ve never really tried this in public before, so forgive if I bore, shock, sadden, mortify or otherwise frighten you away. Please come back if that happens because tomorrow, fiddle-dee-dee, is another day.
So here is my brain dump. I assure you it will be short. The way I understand it, I have seven minutes in which to complete said dump. Not a problem, as there isn't a whole lot going on in my noggin today. Ok, timer set. Here we go:
****************
I am alone this Christmas holiday. Don’t feel sorry for me (unless you were planning on sending money to express your sorrow…then go ahead), because I’m handling it quite well. However, I don’t recommend it and will definitely be heading out to one of the relatives for Christmas next year. That being said, I have kept pretty busy, except during the extent of the stupor I drank myself into last night. In fact, I may or may not have been busy during that time, as well, given the knowledge that I tend to ‘drunk dial’ during such impaired occasions.
Turns out, dumping one’s brain, however wrinkled (which means a smart brain, right?) and worldly a brain it is, can be quite painful. And when I say painful, I truly mean the headache produced from the extra effort required in this process. I don’t know how Rachel does it week after week. Now that I’m sitting here trying to dump my brain, all I can think about are the actual mechanics of the dump itself! Does that sound crazy? Sounds a bit nutzoid (yes, yet another of my made-up words. Don’t bother with dictionary.com this time. Just go with it.)
Uh oh, the timer went off.

WTF?
